Through the research on metal electrochemical corrosion mechanism, this thesis introduces the common technique and method of corrosion-monitoring, and illuminates the site application of corrosion-monitoring & detecting technology.There are a lot of corrosion measuring means in the petroleum & natural gas industry, including electrochemical and the non-electrochemical technologies, they all can be used to measure the metal the corrosion rate in any kinds of corrosion measuring process. These technologies include such as the linear polarization resistance (LPR), the electrochemical impedance frequency genealogy (EIS), the harmonic distortion analysis (HAD), and the electrochemical noise measurement (EN), as well as non-electric chemistry technology such as the resistance (ER), etc. These technologies have its superiority and the inferiority in measuring the corrosion rate. Actually, we should adopt the different monitoring method according to the different corrosion type. The preliminary research discovered that apply many kinds of electrochemical technologies (i.e. LPR, HAD and ECN) jointly, will be beneficial to the rapid reaction on corrosion destroy and the corrosion measure accuracy.According to the actual situation that mix-refine the high-sulfur crude oil in factories, this article illuminates the related plants corrosion environment as well as the characteristic, simultaneously uses for reference monitoring and detecting experiences used in other factories, proves the feasibility that the automatic electrochemical monitoring technology"real-time online corrosion test system Smart-CET"used in the field. Through the field application, confirms that this technology can be used in the evaluation of pipeline (equipment) corrosion, can real-time monitor the change of corrosion situation, makes the people to understand in detail the new method which can real-time grasp the pipeline and equipment's corrosion situation, fast reflects chemical treatment effect, can be used in the process control to reduce the corrosion harm.
