Study On The Kettle Production Of Petroleum Sulfonate

To ensure the concentration of active species in the petroleum sulfonate surfactant and its solubility in crude oil, distillate oil rich in aromatic components from Daqing Refining &Chemical Company was used as feed stock, while gaseous SO3 diluted with dried air used as sulfonating agent. It was produced in bath mode in a kettle. Optimized reaction conditions were obtained on the basis of study on reaction conditions as the concentration of SO3, reaction temperature, reaction time etc. Petroleum sulfonate surfactant that can meet the requirement in properties as surface tension, stability for the application in oilfield was thus produced.
