With the exploitation of coal resources, safety problems which mining under the riverbank have become increasingly prominent, it seriously threats to the safety of flood dike, so we need to accurately predict the degree and extension of the riverbank that damaged by mining. It is necessary to take enough security measures in advance.There are four aspects that damaged by mining under the riverbank. Firstly, whether the riverbank will be sudden collapse and leads to embankment collapse and flood, that is to say the damage of sudden collapse. Secondly, whether the water flowing fractured zone will spread to the riverbed and causes the mine flooding accident. Thirdly, whether the transverse fissures which exist in riverbank will become a channel for water seepage, that is the damage of cracks. Fourthly, whether the river water will overflow after subsidence of the riverbank.This paper takes mining under Nantuo riverbank of the Baishan Coal Mine as an example. According to the geological and mining conditions of 6123 working face , it static and dynamic predicts the movement and deformation of Nantuo riverbank with the probability-integral method and Fast Lagrangian Analysis of Continua in 3 Dimensions(numerical simulation with FLAC3D) respectively. It shows that the probability-integral method and numerical simulation with FLAC3D are feasible on predicting movement and deformation of the riverbank in comparison with observation data. But, as a three-dimensional explicit finite-difference analysis tool, the application in simulation and prediction mining under the riverbank has broad application prospect. Its visualized and dynamic analysis will be rich in the study which predicts the movement and deformation of mining under riverbank.This thesis explored the degree of cracks developing in the riverbank which caused by mining through several means. Finally, according to the four aspects, comprehensive analysis the damage by mining under Nantuo riverbank, combining with probability-integral method and numerical simulation with FLAC3D, based on the result of analysis, put forwards that it is safe and feasible on mining under Nantuo riverbank if only the riverbank being taken some reinforcement measures. The valuable study of this paper can give referential experience to other coal mines which mining under riverbank.
