Spiral bevel gear is widely used in the automotive, shipbuilding and various types of machinery which can transmit movement and power. The traditional processing technology of spiral bevel gear is metal-cutting process, that has obvious shortcomings, on the one hand, the low utilization rate of material, low processing efficiency, high cost and complexity process; On the other hand, the cutting had damaged the metal fibrous tissue, thus, The gear have low bending strength,low tooth contact fatigue strength,low wear resistance and short life. Precision forming technology of spiral bevel gear is a new technology that does not need cutting, which can solve drawbacks of the traditional manufacturing method. At present, domestic and foreign scholars had carried out some studies on precision forging process and rotary forging process in spiral bevel gear. Twin symmetry roll axial rolling spiral bevel gear is a continuous local pressure plastic forming technology. Rolling process is part compression accumulates deformation, therefore, the position of the role line of joint-force which is unchanged is coincidence to axis line of machine .The main feature of rolling are labor-saving, energy- saving, materials-saving, the quasi-static pressure processing, no vibration and noise. This paper has researched on new technology of twin symmetry roll axial rolling spiral bevel gear by methods of computer simulation analysis.Base on studying surface structure of spiral bevel gear and mathematical model of spherical gear, a clear relationship between spiral bevel gear geometry parameters have established , three-dimensional model of spiral bevel gear have complete. The 3d-model also has provided a basis to finite element method simulation analysis at the same time.It analyzes the technology of twin symmetry roll axial rolling spiral bevel gear, brings up calculation method and determine the principles of process parameters. Major including studying the flow rule of metal and the deformation rule of twin symmetry roll axial rolling, calculating rolling force, choiceing tonnage of the twin cone roll axial mill and rolling process parameters. In the article, the flow rule of metal during rolling process is analyzed, the characteristic of twin symmetry roll rolling is expounded, the deformation rule is revealed out by the finite element method. And on basis of this, pointed out metal flowing state and the distribution law of equivalent plastic stress-strain in deformation, described directly out spiral bevel gear forming process and equivalent strain- strain distribution curve, revealed out metal deformation rule during rolling process. The process parameters(cone roller feed speed,friction coefficients,rolling temperature) have an influence on the rolling force.
