Continuous casting is a principal technology in steel production,with high productivity,high figuration,high quality and low cost.But defects like segregation and loosen engendering during solidification of slab can't be eliminated by decapitating and exscinding like moulded casting steel.Segregation of slab would have some effects on its follow-up mechanic and final property,and serious segregation will lead to crackle or rupture during machining of steel plates or components.Flat-bulb steel for ship use has been adopted continuous casting technology presently,so it's very significant to find out its segregation,the grade of segregation and the effect on its mechanic properties.The micro-segregation of continuous casting billet and segregation of flat-bulb steel after hot-rolling have been investigated in this paper,as well as the effect of segregation in component on its mechanical properties.It revealed that:1.Segregation existences in continuous casting billet,in which element S,P,Mo,Al is most serious,secondly is Ni,Cr,V,Ti,C,then the distribution of Cu and Mn is well-distributed,without any segregation.2.Segregation of S,P,Ti,Al existences in flat-bulb steel either,while C,Si,Mn,Cu is wall-distributed,which is inherited from segregation of continuous casting billet.But segregation mainly concentrate on pars cephalica of flat-bulb steel,just bacause of its special rolling technology.3.Segregation in flat-bulb steel(such as S,Al,Ti,Ni,C,Cu ect.) enhances its tensile strengh and yield strengh for about 5.26%and 6.67%,and reduces plasticity for about 6.25%.
