Connecting rod is the key part of vehicle engines. It works under high frequency tired load condition. Connecting rod is too hard to forging and processing it. So the world gave high attention to its technology and manufacture method. The fracture splitting technology of connecting rod is producing crack.The fracture splitting technology of rod is an innovative processing technique that appeared in the 1990s. Compared with the traditional method, the process owns the advantages of greatly improving product quality and production efficiency and dramatically reducing cost and energy. Therefore, the technology has been studied and applied extensively. It is a grand renovation to the conventional processing method of connecting rod. The joint surface of the cap and rod which got by the fracture splitting technology of rod can be matched perfectly, no need being processed by machine, and can also get larger contact area and higher load-bearing strength.The fracture splitting equipment is the most important key equipment of the fracture splitting new technology of rod. On this equipment, the rod and the cap will finish brittle fracture so as to fulfill the fracture of the joint surface and the following perfect match, which replaces the traditional mechanical processing method for the joint surface of rod. The equipment is mainly composed of mechanical system and hydraulic system. The hydraulic system is the most important part of the fracture splitting equipment, it's necessary to consider about the reality, combine with various forms of transmission, fully show the advantages of hydraulic system so as to design the hydraulic system which with simple structure, reliable work, high efficiency, easy operation.It has been 30 years'history since it comes out. As the necessary means of the stage of hydraulic system and components designation, simulation technology has got full attention. It's a technology which based on similar theory, information technology and its application on the professional technology of the applying field, using the computer and a variety of physical effect instrument, using the system model to study the actual or supposed system. The main simulation software is 20-sim, EASY5, AMESim, MATLAB/Simulink, etc. This paper has mainly researched the fracture splitting technology of rod and the working mechanism of the fracture splitting equipment, creates the three-dimensional model of hydraulic system by using the software ADAMS, and then optimizes the hydraulic system for fracture splitting technology of connecting rod equipment by using the software MATLAB/Simulink.In conclusion, contents needed to be researched in this thesis as follows:1. Process parameters and working process of the fracture splitting equipmentCombining with the actual production,defining the hydraulic system parameters by analyzing the structure and the function of the mechanical system and hydraulic system of the fracture splitting equipment. The working process is demonstrated by combining with the picture of the fracture splitting equipment.2. Designing of hydraulic system of the fracture splitting equipmentThis section composed with designing of seven hydraulic systems and working parameters as follows: hydraulic system of fracture cylinder,hydraulic system of the level clamping of rod,hydraulic system of the vertical locking of rod,hydraulic system of the level clamping of cap,hydraulic system of the vertical locking of cap,hydraulic system of the back cylinder of slider,hydraulic system of starting without load. Finally, these hydraulic systems were assembled by some valves to complete the whole hydraulic system of the fracture splitting equipment.3. Modeling and simulation of hydraulic systemBased on the hydraulic system and its components and the specific parameters of the components, three-dimensional solid model and dynamic simulation analysis were got by using the software ADAMS and MATLAB/Simulink. Four curves can be reaped as follows by simulating and calculating: The speed curve of hydraulic cylinder, The pressure curve of the hydraulic cylinder overhead, The Pressure curve comparison between into oil A and into oil B of proportional pressure reducing valve, The Velocity curve comparison between into oil A and into oil B of proportional pressure reducing valve. The conclusion which got from the curves is that: The speed of hydraulic cylinder fulfills the requirement of the fracture splitting; The pressure curve of the hydraulic cylinder overhead fulfills the requirements of the fracture splitting. Therefore, Reasonable system parameters (backpressure and speed) can get a cleavage surface with good performance by modeling and simulation.
