In this paper, the method and of preparing anti-radiation organic glass contain metal salt by microemulsion polymerization was presented. The study mainly focused on the preparing of organic glass contain Lead, Barium, Cadmium. By protracting the pseudo-ternary phase diagram of different systems, choose the proper reacting system, successfully lead the metal salt into the microemulsion system and prepare the organic glass contain metal salt, provide a new way to prepare new pattern of functionality macromolecule material by microemulsion polymerization.firstly we study the reaction condition of preparing Pb(MA)2, Pb(OA)2, Pb(MA)2 and Pb(MA)2, and take analyse of synthesized production, mensurated the product rate of the compound;then study the different method of protracting microemulsion pseudo-ternary phase diagram, the diagram contain Lead salt taked by Shah method undergo conductance rate analysis, ultimately every system could be divided into three types of microemulsion: w/o microemulsion, o/w microemulsion, bicontinues microemulsion, in the system of Pb(MA)2/MA/MMA/HEMA/TX-10/water even exit a liquid crystal region; the microemulsion contain Lead salt, Barium salt, Cadmium salt diagram taked by Schulman method; The pseudo-ternary phase diagram drew by different present different shape of microemulsion area, the diagram drew by Schulman method had only one transparent area, but the Shah had two both in the low and high water content area, and transparent area drew by Schulman method is bigger than Shah. Based on the pseudo-ternary phase diagram of the microemulsion, we study the influence of metal salt, surfactant, cosurfactant, and water content to the transparency of the material, and find the best systems for prepare organic glass contain metal salt by microemulsion polymerization; ultimately prepared anti-radiation organic glass contain 25.4% Lead salt, 30.94%Barium salt, 32.15% Cadmium salt. The performances of optics and the physics of thermotics and the ability of radiation-shielding were detected. The Tg of the organic glass content Lead is 133.47 oC, and Vicat 80.4 oC, Refractive index1.5040; which corresponding to organic glass content Barium is Tg 119.89 oC, Vicat 81.5 oC , Refractive index 1.5167 ; and Tg 123.62 oC,Vicat 74.7 oC,Refractive index 1.5097 to Cadmium. The tensile strength is enhanced with the X-ray irradiating time, and the impact strength keeped calm, by tested of transmittance rate, expansion rate, radiation shielding rate and SEM, we get the anti-radiation material have good anti-solvent, transparency and aperture structural.
