L-Serine has various applications in medicine, cosmetic and food industry, as an portant amino acid with multiple functions and roles. Because it is so difficult to eparate and purify L-serine during the industrial production, L-Serine has became a ind of high-priced product and key amino acid. In this paper, we attempted to extract serine from the hair hydrolyzing liquid hich had been separated cystine and arginine. Not only the economic benefit for nterprise can increase by the all-around utilization, but also the environment ollution can be improved. First, methods of analysis and detection were established for detecting the onstitute and content of correlative amino acids, including Moire technique for the ontent of chloride ions, paper chromatography for the constitute of mixed amino acid, inhydrin technique for the total content of amino acid, Chromotropic cid-Spectrophotometry for content of serine and high performance liquid hromatography(HPLC) for exacter constitute analysis based on the results of paper hromatography. Through the study of some influence factors for measuring result, ome suitable conditions and rules were obtained. Second, the effect of chloride ions on separation of amino acid was studied and he corresponding desalination method of the macroporous sulfonated ion-exchange as proposed. The results showed the absorptive capacity of serine in the 717 resin ecreased with the increase of chlorinity, and little serine could be absorbed when hlorinity was up to 0.2 mol/L. However, in the condition of pH 3.0, the macroporous ulfonated ion-exchange resin could get rid of salt of 95.51% and the recovery rate of mino acid could achieve 84.13%. Last, a process for separation of serine was set up in this paper. At first, lutamate was distilled by 717 strong basic anion exchange resin, then serine and hreonine were separated through the complexing column after being transformed into upric ammine, and at last cupric ammine was reducing to pure amino acid by ecoppering and refinement. In the process, the saturated sorption capacity of 717 nion exchange resin is 36.3 g/Kg, the affinity between glutamate and resin was tronger than other substance, due to the preferential sorption characteristic. The side hain of amino acid played as a key role upon the exchange between amino acid upric ammine and complexing column. Moreover, meanwhile the reaction condition of amino acid copper compound and aqua ammonia also affected the separation efficiency.
