The main aim for the fire policy is to protect lives, so occupant evacuation has been become the major research field of fire safety engineering. How to effectively prevent and reduce casualties caused by fire, especially prevent the mass casualties in fire accidents has become the hot research spots of public safety in domestic and foreign countries.As the fire science research which has the dual characteristics: uncertainty and randomness, the occupant evacuation under fire is a complex field influenced by all aspects, such as human, fire, environment, etc. Accordingly, the model of occupant evacuation should combine with the building design features, both to describe the relationship among human-human, human-fire environment, human-evacuation building structure and to reflect human's psychological changes in the fire, thereby to effectively mimic the human behavior in emergency evacuation, to hold the rules of human movement in evacuation, to improve the efficiency of emergency rescue and safety precautions at all levels of performance.First of all, studied the movement characteristic in underground pedestrian to obtain the movement speed-density curve which rooted in straight-channel, channel corners, staircases, etc, and compared with others experiments. Based on the advanced evacuation model at home and abroad, introduced the cellular automaton model which applied in complex systems on a wide range, and analyzed the key issues of emergency evacuation emulation in depth, designed the evacuation model from the underground space ground on the improvement of cellular automata to make it more effective, more accurate simulation of pedestrian movement. Finally, investigated the fire occupant evacuation in the Chongqing Commercial Street, and compared with the theoretical analysis of the data. The results showed that the emergency evacuation simulation based on cellular automata could better simulated the occupation evacuation in buildings and the development of emergency, and the data calculated from simulation computation have a certain reasonable and advanced which provided an insight into followed up the strategy of emergency evacuation for development and optimization.
