NC milling programming plays an important role in the industry and people's life, It's the base of Manufacture. In this paper, the technologies of NC milling programming are studied according to the enterprises. And the main achievements are as follows:A method is described to select the tool diameter on planar pocket milling. Firstly, the tools'diameter is determined by extracting the geometric restriction of machining regions. Then the length of the tool-path which were generated by different tools is calculated. At last, the tool combination is optimized in order to reduce the machining time and improve the machining efficiency.An algorithm of contour-parallel offset tool-path generation on planar pocket milling is presented. It consists of calculating of Voronoi Diagram, distinguishing of machining region, creating offset loops of machining region based on Voronoi Diagram, transition tool-path linking and so on. On the basis of the thesis, an algorithm of tool-path generation of uncut areas is developed, including BOOL operation of machining region, distinguishing of uncut areas, generating tool-path of uncut areas and so on.In addition, the module of tool-path edit and post-process is developed to display the information of tool-path and copy, mirror, array tool-path, including saving tool-path and exporting appointed NC code for machining.Based on the studies above, the module of software is developed and many practical tests have proved that the research in the dissertation is successful and the result is satisfying.
