Based on the actual work condition of The Chang De Tobacco machinery limited company's high speed cigarette quality checked equipments, The paper compares and discusses the Al2O3-40%TiO2,Al2O3-20%TiO2,WC-12%Co and Cr2O3 ceramics'tribological behavior and chooses the best ceramic coating to reduce the invalidation of the equipments and knocks down the cost .and the test analyses the influences of the normal loads,sliding velocity,roughness and porosity on the wear rates of Cr2O3 ceramic coatings.In this test, Al2O3-40%TiO2,Al2O3-20%TiO2 and WC-12%Co coatings are prepared by detonation-gun spraying , Cr2O3 coatings are prepared by plasma spraying.Based on the performance of ceramic coatings and the spraying manufacturer's conditions,The autor chooses the technical parameters and successful sprayes the high performance ceramic coatings. According to the actual work conditions, this paper discusses the tribological performances of four ceramic coatings rubbed against resin-impregnated graphite under dry sling friction. The experiments indicate: In the same test conditions, Al2O3-40%TiO2 coatings'wear rates > Al2O3-20%TiO2 coatings'wear rates > WC-12%Co coatings'wear rates >Cr2O3 coatings'wear rates. The four ceramic coatings'wear rates decrease firstly and then increase with the sliding distances (test time), the main wear mechanisms are: adhesive wear and fracture. Namely, Cr2O3 coatings'tribological behavior is the best when the normal load is 10N, sliding velocity is 3.12m/s. And the paper analyses the transformation of the Cr2O3 coatings'wear rates with the normal loads and sliding velocities. The experiments indicate: Cr2O3 coatings'wear rates increase with the sliding velocities, the main wear mechanism is adhesive wear; and the wear values increase with the normal loads, It existes a sudden jump in wear when the wear mechanisms change suddenly. The test indicates: roughness is not the smaller the better, it exists an optimal value. the wear rare is the least when the roughness is 0.2-0.3um. And the test found that the ceramic coatings'wear rates increase with the porosity, when the ceramic coatings contain big porosity, it cause easily fracture and abrasive wear.
