A Study On Zhejiang Environmental Protection Investment

Compared to the rapid pace of economic development, the beginning of environmental protection investment in Zhejiang Province was too late. Zhejiang Province gradually increased the intensity of environmental investment from the early 90's of the twentieth century. What we care is whether the scale of investment is enough and investment is effectively controlled the momentum of the deterioration of the environment. In this situation, it is particularly important to do some research about Zhejiang environmental protection investment.The combined method of qualitative and quantitative analysis is used in this paper. At first, the paper defines the concept and the scope of environmental protection investment. Then analysis the scale and the influencing factors of environmental protection investment of Zhejiang Province through the total amount, structure and channel of vestment in environmental protection. Next test the operation efficiency investment in environmental protection of Zhejiang Province through environmental protection efficiency model. At last build environmental protection investment system of Zhejiang Province based on the final results of the analysis input-output mechanism, aimed to provide theoretical basis and reference experience for the government and corporate to make environmental management policies.The main conclusion are as follows in this paper: First, compared to the average level at home, the scale of Zhejiang environmental protection investment is enough, but is still equivalent to the level of 70's-80's of the twentieth century of the developed countries. Second, high investment in Zhejiang Province has not brought the high efficiency of environmental protection investment, the lack of effective supervision, the environment of inadequate supervision and weak public awareness of environmental protection in Zhejiang Province affected the normal operation of environmental protection investment; Third, considering the fair scale and the lower operating efficiency of Zhejiang environmental protection investment, this paper argues that investment in environmental protection should be the first explicit construction of the main environmental protection investment, at the same time broaden the environmental protection channel to expand the investment in environmental protection, on the other hand set up and improve the complex system of environmental economic policies.
