Energy conservation and clean production technology is not only an applied production technique but also a practical method,which satisfy the needs of people by using natural resource energy reasonably,as well as protecting the environment.In recent years,the finisher is facing a number of challenges:reduced batch of dyeing goods,increased the pattern and colors,shortened delivery period,the rising cost of production for strict fastness standard,environment regulations,as well as the increased cost of sewage disposal.The process of small batch of dyeing goods demands the higher availability of machine and shorter the time of changing batch.The continuous wet steaming process is come forth for all of requirement.In this paper,Shortened Wet-Steam(S-W-S) process in pad-dyeing panne fabric with Anozol(?) ECO reactive dye were discussed,which has not needed any new equipments.The optimization process of S-W-S has been used for pad-dyeing panne fabrics.The comparison of Shortened Wet-Steam process with the traditional Pad-Dry-Pad-Steam(P-D-P-S) process was carried out in the following aspects of dyeing performance:the apparent depth(K/S value) fixed rate,color fastness,strength of dyeing fabrics,and so on.The new Shortened Wet-Steam process,basing on its special features,"wet" and "short", "steam",has unparalleled advantages comparing with the Pad-Dry-Pad-Steam process and other traditional continuous dyeing processes.This new technology has shortened dyeing process, which not only save a great deal of additives,such as salt and urea used in the traditional process, but also alleviate the pollution of wastewater and other environment problems brought by staining and high-salt solution of reactive dyes.The wet fabric of Shortened Wet-Steam process has not been dried before fixing.After the fabric has been padded,it directed to the steaming process, which not only prevent beaches shift problems of dyes in the process of dry,as well as save significant energy.Because of the short process,the use of auxiliaries in the whole dyeing process got much less,and technological parameters in process control greatly reduced.Therefore the Shortened Wet-Steam dyeing process had better reproducibility.The Shortened Wet-Steam dyeing process of 100℃got deeper shade and higher dye fixed rate in light color,and traditional Pad-Dry-Pad-Steam process got deeper shade and higher dye fixed rate in deep color.The dyeing results in Wet-Steam dyeing process of 130℃was near the traditional process,and the performance was equivalent to the other two processes.In addition to the dyeing performance comparison between the Shortened Wet-Steam process and traditional dyeing process,we also had researched the pad-dyeing theory by measurement of "wet steaming" characteristics of fabrics in steaming box used the Shortened Wet-Steam process in this paper.When the wet fabric with a certain relative humidity and temperature was pass through the steaming box in 1~5min,the change of the real temperature and moisture of surface of wet fabrics in the steaming box was discussed.as well as the curve of relative between temperature and time in wet fabric was described,including real temperatures curves of fabrics in steaming box with different temperatures and relative humidity,the research of dyeing theory lay the results of aforementioned experiments.Since the changes of temperature and moisture of wet fabrics in the steaming box are very complex.We did not get sure about the change details of wet cotton fabrics in various shortened wet steaming processes in different temperature and relative humidity,including the performance of swelling and moisture absorption properties of fiber,What is more,the character of the adsorption and diffusion of reactive dyes in the wet steaming process need explain in detail.We have been initiated the related work for solving all of these problems in our laboratory.Energy-saving,environmental protection,low-chemicals,salt-free,the shortened process, time-saving and cost-effective were characteristic of Shortened Wet-Steam dyeing process.Energy conservation and clean production technology and ecological processes is imperative under the situation,therefore the development of shortened wet-steaming dyeing process have more practical significance.The development of the wet steaming technology have lots of aims and research fields,such as fundamental dyeing theory research in shortened wet steam dyeing process, including containing water and temperature changes of cotton fabrics in various short wet steaming process,swelling performance of fiber and fixing theory,as well as salt-free pad-dyeing process of wet steaming process,or salt-free reactive dyes,salt-free dyeing auxiliaries which are suitable for the development of wet steaming process.
