Assessment Methods Of Ecological Value For Water Source Area In The Water Up Stream Of Irrigation Area

Tremendous ecological benefits were produced by Water Source Area in the water upstream of Irrigation area,which play a vital role on the development of economy and society.Since this is a growing interest in eco-compensation, it has a significance to access the value of its ecosystem services .This paper focuses on the Water Source Area in the water upstream of Irrigation area and reflect the whole composition of ecological value in this area more comprehensive than before.On the basis of element identify on ecological value, a 4-layer indicator system of ecological value assessment is put forward,which includes eighteen indexes. This paper assess its ecological value by making use of the shadow project method,market value method etc,which includes the value of production and service.This paper takes Pi-Shi-Hang Irrigation District as a case. Through the practical research and the collection of the ecological condition of Water Source Area in the water upstream of Pi-Shi-Hang Irrigation area, also considering the practical case of the county and region in the water upstream of Irrigation area, this paper uses above-mentioned 4-layer indicator system of ecological value assessment of the Water Source Area in the water upstream of Irrigation area and detailedly assesses the value of the ecosystem services of Water Source Area in the water upstream of Pi-Shi-Hang Irrigation area.The value of the case is 42.5 billion Yuan per year .Assessment results indicate that great contribution of the ecosystem service to downstream and the whole society is maked by Water Source Area in the water upstream of Irrigation area.
