With the development of the electrical motor manufacture technology, modern power electronics techniques, microprocessor techniques and advanced control theories, the AC servo technology is more and more widely used in industry application. In this paper, the control system with DSP as the central controller in industrial sewing machine using AC Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(PMSM) is studied. Based on the theory analysis and simulation, the experimental equipment is carried out, all the automation control functions of the system are tested.The main work of this paper is as follows:(1) Based on the introduction of structure and mathematical model of PMSM, vector control theory and Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation(SVPWM) technology are analyzed in this paper. According to the project demand, the detail methods of realization and issues needed special concern are discussed.(2) A model of triple-loop control method for PMSM system is established. Each functional part of the model is analyzed detailedly. The state waves during the process of starting, stable running and stopping are given in the paper.(3) The hardware and software for industrial sewing machine based on DSP is designed, including Power circuit, IPM driving circuit, control circuit of DSP, Man Machine Interface circuit and series communication circuit. This paper presents the structure of software, and analyzes the realization methods of each function module.(4) Relative experiments and analyses are finished on experiment equipment. The results indicate that the servo system of industrial sewing machine is reasonable and feasible. System performs well in static and dynamic test, which can meet the needs of industrial production process.
