The Qaidam Basin is important ecological function area in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and one of essential regions of biodiversity protection in China, in which ecological conditions not only affect the sustainable development of region, also affect ecological security of the entire Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. In recent years, Qaidam Basin's ecological environment has the improvement partially, but the whole worsening question is still very prominent. which already has affected greatly to sustainable development of the entire basin's society and economy. Because of the natural factor and the unreasonable human activity's influence.. Under such background, The paper chooses typical Tsagan Us Oasis in the Qaidam Basin to study desertification combating and vegetation remote sensing monitoring of oasis, and will provide reference for the research area's ecological building and the sustainable developmentIn the paper, This article conducts the research from the following several aspects to Tsagan Us Oasis in Dulan County. (1) In order to find out the water resources situation in Tsagan Us Oasis ,through the hydrology and the water resources investigation, think that the oasis river system is composed of Tsagan Us River and Xiariha River, of which mean annual runoff is 1.9753×10~8 m~3, groundwater resources amount1.9794×10~8 m~3, total local water resources2.5255×10~8 m~3.Through the water quality examination, surface water and ground water quality are good; (2) Through summarizing desertification prevention experiences in the Qaidam Basin and the correlation research results, proposed that desertification control technique system of the oasis, which may divide into the vegetation construction technology system and the engineering control technique system. The vegetation construction system is composed of vegetation recovery enclosure technology, dune fixation afforestation technology, return farmland to forests and afforestation and planting grass technology and Oasis shelterbelts technical system; Engineering control technology system is composed of mechanical sand barrier technology and chemical sand-fixing technical. (3) Based on "3S" technology, three periods of remote sensing datas of the study area in 1990, 2001, 2006, which study NDVI dynamic remote monitoring of vegetation cover. Results suggest that from 1990 to 2006, vegetation coverage of Tsagan Us oasis overall trend is fluctuated growth, oasis desertification land have been effectively governance, vegetation coverage show from low-grade into a higher level, vegetation situation on the edge of the oasis have been significantly improved...
