Chrysotile is the only tubular nanostructure mineral phase crystals in the whole mineral world,tt has fireproofing,heat preservation,heat insulation,acid proof, anti-corrosion,insulation and other excellent performance.In each industrial sector,it has wide applications.For assembling quantum wires and quantum dots,it is summarized that synthesis of chrysotile nanotube and the unique property of the prepared quantum wires and quantum dots at home and abroad in this thesis.The synthesized process of well-structure and regular morphology chrysotile nanotube in the self-made high pressure reaction vessel was studied by using tetramethoxysilane((CH3O)4Si) and MgCl2·6H2O as raw materials;NaOH as pH value adjustor.The influences of the process parameter on synthesis of chrysotile nanotube,were studied,which includes reaction temperature,reaction time and the pH value of precursor solution.The results showed that we could obtain high purity,complete crystallization and uniform diameter distribution chrysotile nanotube with the 10nm~15nm and 20nm~30nm inner and outer diameters respectively,and 300nm~2μm length,which the reaction temperature is higher than 300℃,the reaction time is longer than 30h,the pH value of precursor solution is between 12.0 and 13.0.The phase,morphology and structure of synthesized samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),high resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM).The formation mechanism of chrysotile nanotube is explored briefly,and the further work is proposed.
