With the further application of advanced technology in the welding field, the digital technology and wave controlled technology have been widely applied in the arc welding power. In this paper, the control system of the power source for the short-circuit CO2 gas shielded arc welding is researched, based on the technology of STT(the Surface tension transformation) and DSP(Digital Signal Process).According to the character of short circuit transfer of CO2 welding, the process is fractionalized into seven stages. In the process of necking, rising the current make it come into being. And at the later of short-circuiting transfer, the welding current is declined, which makes the bridge destroy at the low energy and finishes the transfer with less splash. During the processing, the real time current and voltage values information are obtained through the digital signal processor(TMS320F28016),then the wave of current is produced by the control of DSP at the output end that is suitable for the short-circuiting transfer. The control system has adopted the digital signal processor chip (TMS320F28016),which mainly use in the A/D conversion interface and PWM output function of event manager and other functions. The software technology adopts interrupting service technology, the program structure uses the subroutine program structure programming idea, which make it clearly and easily debug and modify and improve the system stability and replantation. In this paper, the DSP-based analysis of CO2 welding process test platform is designed, according to it,we can explore the control effect of DSP.It is a sort of new beneficial attempt for the research of waveform controlled study of CO2 arc-welding power.
