Nitrate pollution of groundwater has been an Environmental issues world wide. Biological de-nitrification is considered to be the most economic and effective way of application at present. The factors of influencing in-situ microbiological groundwater remediation was studied in this papers which analyzed the activity of indigenous denitrifying microbes in study area .The better organic carbon sources (sucrose and whey powder) were selected based on laboratory test results and the volume were determined. It showed that:(â… )The study area groundwater and soil contained a large number of indigenous denitrifying micro-organisms, so no need to add the additional denitrifying bacteria for completing in-situ remediation. The pH value of groundwater were between 6.5 and 7.5, which were adapt to growth of micro-organisms .If the concentration of dissolved oxygen which was limited de-nitrification conditions were higher than 2mg/L,it would inhibit microbial de-nitrification.(â…¡)The amount of sucrose added were 1.6 %, the removal rate reached 99% and the reaction rate of de-nitrification was 2.09mg/L?d.The amount of whey powder added were 0.4 %, the removal rate reached 99% , and the reaction rate of de-nitrification was 11.2 mg/L?d. The effect of complex carbon sources which are ethanol and glucose are better, which had high removal rate of nitrate nitrogen removal reaching 99.2% and the reaction rate was 5.25 mg/L?d.Bioaugmented Aquifer Technique Program was applied in accordance with situations of waste disposal, circumference of landfill, nature of underlying aquifers and hydrological setting, combined with results of diffusion coefficient and groundwater quality monitoring in previous study, which was compared to program of landfill in-situ remediation with economic and technical analysis. Targeting the actual pollutant situation and hydro-geological conditions of study area, the solution of pollution treatment of study area were designed which were worthwhile for the treatment of nitrogen pollution of groundwater in landfills.
