Paint as a kind of decorative and functional material has been widely used in the areas of industry and life.People have higher and higher requirement on the quality of paint with the improvement of living standard and healthy consciousness, especially on various harmful heavy metal.Determination of heavy metal is an indispensable link in analysis of paint, but usually limit to determination of soluble heavy metal. And so are the many methods in EN71:PART3(that made by European Committee for Standardization,CEN) and national standard(GB18581-2001,GB18582-2008).Because of soluble heavy metal deriving from the existence of those elements,so the determination of total content for heavy metal will be very important for quality control of paint and environment.Wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry(XRF)as a non-destructive analysis technology, due to its simple preparation of sample,good-reproducibility, high-speed,low-cost,broad-measure range and multielemental analysis,it has been widely used in the areas of metallurgy, material and geology so far.Electrical coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry(ICP-AES) as a common analysis technology of trace element, due to its high-speed,sensitivity,accuracy and multielemental analysis, it has been used for the determination of heavy metal in all kinds of samples. In this work, two methods of microwave-digestion electrical coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry(ICP-AES) and powder-pressed wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry(XRF) which is novle and more environmentally friendly analysis technology were proposed for trace determination of heavy metal such as Pb,Cr,Se,Co in paint. The studies in this thesis are included as follows:1.A rapid method for determination of Pb,Cr,Se,Co in paint by ICP-AES combined with microwave-digestion was developed. The standard curves were linear over the range of 0 - 10 mg/kg.The detection limit were among 0.002 - 0.08 mg/kg.The relative standard deviations were lower than 5.7%.The recoveries ranged from 90.7 to110.5%.2. A simple method for determination of Pb,Cr,Se,Co in paint by WD-XRF combined with powder-pressed was developed.Studies on the optimized analysis condition including the particle size, the mass, the pressure, the pressure, the voltage, the current, ect.were developed. The standard curves were linear over the range of 0 - 1000 mg/kg.The detection limit were among 6.2 - 11.6 mg/kg.The relative standard deviations were lower than 1.56%.The recoveries ranged from 95.2 to 106.6%.3.Through comparasion of ICP-AES and WD-XRF,we found that WD-XRF was simpler, faster and more environmetal. The WD-XRF was more appropriate for batch determination of paint.
