This paper reported a hydrothermal process to synthesize ZnO nanostructures and discussed the control of Morphology and photoluminescence mechanism.Morphology control:1.Highly oriented ZnO nanorods arrays were directly grown on zinc foil through a simple hydrothermal process in TMAH solution,The orientation of the arrays and the diameter of nanorods were controllable.2.Obtained the mixed structure of ZnO nanorods and nanowires with less concentration of defects and high quality crystallizing when fixed the concentration of TMAH 0.15 mol/L and delayed the reaction rate by the introduction of methanol.3.There were some differences in morphology when adopted different complex system.The product has the gas-sensing properties when dropped Sb3+ ions.Photoluminescence mechanism:In this study,compared the PL results of products synthesized separately in Oxygen-poor system and Oxygen-rich system.1.The UV luminescence intensity was related to the diameter of nanorods with a direct ratio.2.The 525 nm luminescence was caused by the transition from Vo-Zni Associated defects.3.Because of ZnO is N-type semiconductor,the products obtained from Oxygen-rich system have the complicated composition of defects.
