Based on the modified epoxy rapeseed oil, through the W/ O microemulsion reactions in which synthetic method of Schiff base copper and scattered percentage. A new green lubricant was made. It is proved that this new lubricant has a good effect of friction reduction and antiwear. And the mechanism is the selective transfer.This article compares the different experimental conditions on the influences of epoxy. Experiment results show that the most optimum conditions of the epoxidation of rapeseed oil is—hydrogen peroxide and ice acetic acid mole ratio of 1/ 2,the reaction temperature is 60℃,react for 8 hours. The dynamic viscosity of the epoxy rapeseed oil is higher than the ordinary rapeseed oil. It enhance the lubricant's adsorbability on the friction pair and make the additives disperse better. The oxidation stability is higher because the epoxy rapeseed oil has ternary ring and the iodine value is lower.Draw the ternary phase diagram and synthesize the Schiff base copper complex in the best proportion. Analyzed the Schiff base copper complex by the scanning electron microscope, mass spectrometry and IR spectrum. Evaluate the lubricant stability of different Schiff base copper content. Test results show that when the surfactant/ epoxy rapeseed oil/ absolute ethyl alcohol quality ratio is 1/ 5/ 4,the most absolute ethyl alcohol can be dissolved and the micro emulsion is steady. Schiff base copper complexes developed in epoxidation rapeseed oil additives products with no more than 1.5 when better stability. The Schiff base copper complex diameter is 2μm through the SEM observation.Finally, the new lubricating oil was analyzed by several tribology tests. Test results show that the friction coefficient of the modified oil decreased from 0.041 to 0.024~0.034, wear decreased from 0.017 g to 0.002 g. The specimen surface morphology analysis shows that the wear containing Schiff base copper complexes developed using epoxy rapeseed oil lubrication of the steel plate surface is smooth. The oil shows best reduction effect when 1.5% Schiff base copper complex contented. The EDS test results show that copper was on the surface of friction pair,confirmed the existence of selective transfer effect.
