MOCO is a new kind of process, which has the function of denitrification and phosphorus removal.Based on the OCO process,a guide wall is added after carrying out experimental analysis and modification, which can form the effective oxygen gradient and enhance the denitrification rate.Brewery wastewater is also the source of water pollution. It contains high concentration of organic pollutants . And there are large fluctuations in wastewater quality and quantity. In order to make the test operated steadily, this paper adopts the brewery wastewater of artificial simulation as the target of testing study. The optimization and application of brewery waste water treatment factory can be directed after getting the laws of things from the systematic study and practice. The followings were studied: the effect study on the romoval of CODcr, NH3-N and TN; the establishment of optimal parameters and kinetics models of the organic pollutants removal for MOCO in brewery wastewater treatment. According to the testing study, the followings can be concluded: The flow function of MOCO process is E(t) = 0.69e-0.69t,F(t)= 1-e-0.69t. HRT is 8h, the sludge load is 0.41kgBOD5/ (kgMLSS·d), and the volume loading is 1.00kgBOD5/ (m3·d). If the MLSS is maintained to be about 4500mg/L and HRT is above 8h,when CODcr is 1000-2000mg/L, the removal rate of organic pollutants will be up to 95%. This shows that MOCO process can stand against obviously the impact of the high concentration of organic pollutants. Even if the system is affected by the low temperature, when HRT is not below 8h,the average removal rates of NH3-N and TN are respectively above 79% and 64%. And The final effluent CODcr, NH3-N reach the Discharged Standard of Water Pollutants for brewery wastewater of Brewage Industry(GB19821-2005). Therefor, the method is effective and feasible in brewery wastewater treatment.Based on the analysis of a great quantity of testing data ,the followings can be obtained: MOCO process can reach higher removal rate, when the sludge age is between 8 and 12 days.Combined with Monod equation (?), the kinetics models of MOCO have beenestablished as the following :(?), R2=0.9735.
