Nowadays, natural gas pipelines has stepped into a rapid development era, duct length extends everyday, however, the safety problem of pipeline system becomes more and more important. Applying risk assessment on gas pipeline system is a effective method to acquire the pipeline safety management. All of the risk factors can be found out through risk assessment, risk classification and arrangement based on risk degree through out scientific discrimination standard. Finally determined reasonable assessment decreasing measures, insures intrinsic safety of the pipelines system, reduces economic losses, increases enterprise benefit. This thesis elaborates the concept, rule, process and method of risk assessment. A suit of risk assessment and risk early warning system fit for natural gas pipeline networks system is established in the basis of consulting the research results of risk assessment at home and abroad, according to the practical production character of natural gas pipeline networks system since the medium of natural gas pipeline networks system has the hazard property of combustible, explosive, and filtering. Adopting fault tree analysis method, classify fault type from natural gas pipeline networks system. On the basis of it, the Risk assessment system is established. In addition, modified the risk assessment grade by using the dynamicassessment models, realized the risk early warning of the pipeline networks system. Using the accident consequence analogy method to simulate the hazarder pipeline death radius and serious injury radius after the calculation, the results will provide a technical support for the emergency rescue. On the basis of risk assessment, early warning and accident simulation results, in view of the existent fire, explosion or leakage accidents the natural gas pipeline network. The relevant risk protection and insurance measures are proposed. Then attain the optimal safe condition of each unit with lowest accident rate, least loss and optimal safety investment benefits.
