Multi-stage Dynamic Countercurrent Extraction (MDCE),which is a sort of technology that has the greatest advantage of energy conservation, will be widely accepted and used on the progress of the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).In MDCE, An effective online-detection method is demanded to monitor the extraction process .However, traditional TCM online-detection methods does not fit the demand. A portable apparatus of good real time performance for on-line detection is required in production of TCM. On the basis of traditional spectrophotometer, we did elaborate design to the monochromatic source , absorption cell ,and detection part .The research aspects are as fellows:1. According the results of feasibility research, we made sure that total absorbency as the index of TCM concentration is feasible , and based on this, we developed the prototype apparatus and the test was carried out .2. Based on the prototype apparatus, hardware design and software programming were finished ;and according to the shortage of the apparatus, we also established complementary means;3. In the process of the apparatus development, the inspirations of portable rapid spectrophotometer and energy-saving LED lamp came out ,and we also completed the preliminary design.
