| The usable condition is one of the important factors which affect and restrict the development of the diamond saw-blades. At present, most of domestic and foreign productions of diamond saw-blades are applied to wet-cutting. Wet-cutting is more difficult in some areas which are lack of water application. And there are many kinds of special materials which are not suitable to be cut under wet condition. Meanwhile, the coolant with large number of scrap in the process of wet-cutting is so difficult to deal with that wet-cutting would cause environmental pollution. So, the small diameter diamond saw-blades of which working-layer could be used up when cut under dry condition will have more important significance for research and practice.The main content includes several respects as follows:(1 )The dry-cutting mechanism of diamond saw-blades was discussed. The friction and wear performance characteristics between diamond and work piece, matrix and work piece, chip and matrix, were analyzed in this paper. Calculated the temperature of diamond which is increased in the process of sawing, and analyzed the influencing factors. Found out the researching direction for new type of saw-blades which would be used to cut rock and other materials under dry condition. That would direct the design of diamond saw-blades for dry-cutting.(2)The influence of the diamond surface treatment was analyzed, as well as the beneficial effect of achieving saw-blades for dry-cutting. Tested the dry-cutting situation of the diamond saw-blades which manufactured by Ti coated diamonds.(3) Used pre-alloyed powders to design reasonable matrix formula, which can improve the sintering and mechanical properties of diamond saw-blades effectively. Pre-alloyed powders were used to improve the holding force between matrix and diamond. Matrix formula, size and concentration of diamond, and other parameters were designed reasonably to determine the formula of small diameter diamond saw-blades for dry- cutting rock and other materials.(4)The reasonable formulas of small diameter diamond saw-blades for cutting different materials (granite, ceramics, concrete) under dry condition were chosen from the test. Analyzed the results of the test, and discussed the optimized design of the formula of small diameter diamond saw-blades for dry-cutting.(5)The same diamond saw-blade was used to do the contrast test under dry and wet conditions. The results showed that the dry-cutting diamond saw blade could improve life. The different cutting mechanisms under dry and wet conditions were analyzed, which can guide the dry-cutting saw-blades' research in theory. And the superiority and actual meaning of small diameter diamond saw-blades for dry- cutting were analyzed. |
