Organic light-emitting diodes(OLEDs) have been extensively studied due to their potential applications for low driving voltage, bright color, flat panel displays. As the most extensively used green-color electroluminescent material, 8-hydroxyquinoline aluminum in solid state possesses good film formation and thermal stability, high electron transfer mobility and fluorescence quantum efficiency. Therefore, through modification of the 8-hydroxyquinoline structure bone,we can obtain new materials with desired color, efficiency and stability, etc. Two novel ligands were synthsezied by a series of reactions such as bromosubistitution, the diazotization and bromodiation of aminogroup, ullmann reaction, suzuki crossing reaction and others reactions,In addition,5-(4'-N,N'-diphenylamidocyanogen)phenyl-8-hydroxyquinoline and 5-(4'-(9H-9-carbazolyl)phenyl)-8-hydroxyquinoline were reacted with AlCl3 to give two novel ligands and characterized by 1H-NMR and elemental analysis(EA),and compared and studied with absorption and luminescence, provding academic foundation for OLED materials. In addition,a series of phosphorescent iridium and platinum complexes with the ancillary ligands being 5-(4'-N,N'-diphenylamidocyanogenphenyl) -8-hydroxyquinoline have been synthesized in this paper.Organic intermediate product of 5-bromo-8-hydroxyquinoline has been synthesized with a good rate of production through orthogonal experiment,The influence of solvent, temperature and time have been mended in this paper. The structure of 5-bromo-8-hydroxyquinoline was confirmed by 1H-NMR and elemental analysis(EA),providing a basic intermediate product for the OLED materials.
