After years on the mechanism of high-speed machining research, now high-speed machining in industrial production has been widely used. It represents the development direction of machining technology. The cutting heat generated in High-speed machining process directly affects tool life and workpiece machining accuracy, so the mechanism of cutting heat generated has been the focus of the study. As one of the most active factor in Machining process system, every tool technology development brings machining technology for the new changes. In particular, in recent years, with the development of new material technology and coating technology more and more coated tools were used in production practice. Thus the study of coated tool cutting heat and cutting temperature has a very important theoretical and practical value. In this paper, started with mechanism of high-speed machining Depth study of the finite element simulation involved in the mesh, chip separation criteria key technologies and so on. The coated tool cutting finite element model was established, with the three-dimensional simulation software Deform the coated tool cutting process has been simulate. By changing the coating material, coating structure and processing conditions, such as cutting speed, access to the coated tool and tool-chip contact surface temperature distribution as the simulation results, the influence of the coating material and coating structure on the distribution of cutting temperature has been analysed . Finally, with the semi-artificial thermocouple method the experiment study of coated tool machining were carried out and compared the results of experiments with finite element results, to verify the finite element simulation study analysis result.
