Influence Of Electrochemical Parameters And Factors Such As Mediums On The Effect Of EIA

Square wave of constant potential was applied to execute electrochemially induced annealing (EIA) on the stainless steel in thesis. Anotic/cathodic potential of the square wave of constant potential was changed to form different anotic/cathodic current density, and the influence of anotic/cathodic current density on the treatment effect was researched. On the basis of Burstein's assumption, it is confirmed that anotic/cathodic current density can affect hydrogen evolution current, hydrogen permeability current and passivation current thus has effctive action on the EIA treatment effect. Based on this conclusion, the text regulated appropriate anotic/cathodic current density and obtained good EIA treatment effect. This experiments results may give solid base of the research of the mechanism of EIA.Sodium nitrite is harmful and has heavily pollution , and search new alternative mediums may give significance to the mechanism of electrochemically induced annealing and technology majorization. In the text,we did experiments of square wave of constant potential polarization in other mediums, and we got some results. It's found that, the anotic/cathodic current density in de-ionized water is very low and no phenomenon of EIA is happened but hydrogen induced martensitic phase transformation is almost occurred . The cathodic current density in sodium carbonate is more high and anodic current density is also slow , but the phenomenon of EIA don't happen too and hydrogen induced martensitic phase transformation is obvious. This conclusion accords with Burstein's experiments of EIA in other mediums. The text also did experiments of changeing EIA processing time, and found that it's easier to get good EIA treatment effect by time increasing in appropriate range.
