As a class of novel porous materials,ordered mesoporous carbon(OMC) possesses more remarkable properties,such as a narrow pore distribution,high specific surface area,chemical inertness,and good hydrothermal and mechanical stability.It has been attracting considerable attention because of potential applications in gas separation,catalyst supports,and energy storage/conversion.In this thesis,novel synthetic strategies of spherical OMC were developed.Spherical OMC with cubic Im3m symmetry has successfully been synthesized by direct carbonization of silica/triblock copolymer/butanol composite and removal of silica templete process using F127(EO106PO70EO106) and butanol as both structure-directing agent and carbon precursor in acid media of aqueous solution.The materials obtained were deeply characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),High-resolving transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM),scanning eletrom microscopy(SEM),thermogravimettic analysis(TGA),nitrogen adsorption/desorption,etc.The influences of TEOS addtion,templete agent and stirring on ordered structure and morphology of material and mechanism of stirring influence on morphology were investigated.It is pointed out that stiring is good for the formation of ordered mesoporous structures and spherical morphology when TEOS additon was little,while when TEOS additon increase to excessive content,quiescent condition can benefit the formation of spherical morphology of OMC.The resulting ordered mesoporous carbon has a BET surface area of 1273 m2/g,a pore volume of 1.13 cm3/g,and a narrow pore size distribution centered at 3.55nm.The electrochemical performance of OMCs as electrode materials for electric double-layer capacitors was elucidated by using galvanostatic charge-discharge test,cyclic voltammetry in potassium hydroxide electrolyte. It was found that all of OMCs exhibited the ideal double-layer capacitance behaviors and have specific votume of 145 F/g at high electric current consistency.In addition,Capability of spherical OMC keep stable at high current load.
