Network graph is widely used in many research areas because of its characteristics of making for analysis and research problems. Mine ventilation network graph is an abstract express of mine ventilation system and an important print to analyze mine ventilation. It is of great practical significance to do some research on mine ventilation network graph. We first make some necessary elaborate on the research status of the network graph and mine ventilation network graph in this paperMine ventilation network graph is a mathematical expression of practical ventilation network. For some mine network graph, because of the many roadways, nodes and crosses that are not good dealt with, streaks too much and so on ,it is not good for problem analysis. This paper ,with their own characteristics of graph theory and network graph, analyzes the characteristic and the principle simplification of mine vatilation network graph, researches on simplification methods and simplification realization of it, analysis the application of it.Three elements that should be considered is analyzed in the process of graph construction before simplified, the idea of determining the backbone roadway is presented, and realizes it in the computer. The simplication of mine ventilation network graph includes equivalent simplification and non-equivalent simplification. During the equivalent simplification, mathematical model is analyzed, the technology of automatic simplification is given and explain it by examples. In non-equivalent simplification, it take Chenjiashan mine ventilation network graph as example, analyze and discuss the error laws during the simplication.Then, selection principles of workings that simplication needed, the simplifying order and the error law that simiplication caused is given.The application of mine ventilation network graph was studied, including analysis of the application of mine ventilation trends, of adjusting ventilation, and research of the graph with node pressure. During the analysis of the application of mine ventilation trends, the theoretical analysis was made and applied to Chenjiashan mine, then the results were displayed through the datas of excel form and network graph colored with paint.For analysis of adjusting ventilation, the concept was explained and the step of it was given. During the research of the graph with node pressure, it take the second Jinneng mine as an example, displayed the analysis process by the graph with node pressure of Jinneng mine. It is obtained that it is more intuitive and more convenient for the analysis of practical problems by using the graph with node pressure.
