| Since Iijima discovered carbon nanotubes(CNTs),it has been known through a great number of experiments done by scientists and engineers over world that CNTs have excellent mechanical properties,good chemical and thermal stabilities,good electrical and have about 1000 aspect ratio,which makes CNTs being a perfect reinforcement materials for polymer based composites,and can give polymer based composites many new functions,CNTs are attracting more and more widely attention from researchers on polymer field.However,CNTs are one dimensional nanometer structure,have higher surface energy and are easy to form aggregates,which leads to the poor dispersion of themselves in polymer matrix.CNTs should have good interfacial interaction with polymer matrix as reinforcement materials for polymers, which is benefit for stress to be transferred effectively to the CNT.How to disperse CNTs uniformly in polymer matrix and increase the interfacial interaction between CNTs and polymer matrix are the problems urgent to be solved.In this paper,polymer matrix composites filled with MWNTs were prepared, some researches were done as follows:1.PP/MWNTs composites were prepared with melting mixing,electrical property,the MFR of composites,the resistivity with temperature,mechanical properties,crystallization properties and microstructure of composites were investigated.The results showed the composites electrical percolation threshold was 3wt%MWNTs,the surface resistivity of the composite decreased with the increase of MWNTs content;the composite MFR was the best and reached 11.1g/10min while the content of MWNTs was 3wt%;composites have PTC and NTC;mechanical properties of composites decreased while the MWNTs filled;and microstructure and morphology of composites were analyzed by TEM and SEM.2.PC/MWNTs composites were also prepared by means of melt blending, electrical property,composites MFR and microstructure of composites were investigated.The results showed the electrical percolation threshold was 2wt% MWNTs;the fluidity of composites was the best and reached 10.9g/10min when MWNTs content was 3wt%;MWNTs' dispersion in composite matrix and the interfacial interaction between MWNTs and PC were analyzed by TEM and SEM.3.Some works had been done to improve electrical property of polymer matrix MWNTs composite as follows:The choices of melt mixing procedure parameters; modification of MWNTs surface and molding method of composites specimens.4.POM/MWNTs and SBR/MWNTs composites were prepared,and the composites electrical property were studied.The results showed when MWNTs content was 2wt%and 5wt%,the POM/MWNTs composites surface resistivity were 10~5 and 10~3Ωrespectively;when MWNTs content was 8wt%and 20wt%,the SBR/MWNTs composites surface resistivity were 10~7 and 10~4Ωrespectively. |
