As a major kind of heterocyclic compounds, imidazole posses very high biological activity. It was widely used as major ingredients in many products, such as medicine drug, pesticide, dyestuffs and photographic developer.Futher more, imidazole plays an important role in coordination chemistry compounds for it exibits very good ability to coordinate to metals with electronic donor---- two N atoms in their formulas.Imidazole and its derivative coordination polymers have peculiar optical properties, such as magnetism, catalytic and biological activity, moreover, have some sort of characters of combined polymers,it has a wide range of application prospect in new materials, molecular recognition and supramolecular self-assembly.In this paper,we designed and synthesized a series of imidazole derivatives, and characterized its structure.Further more, several imidazole carboxylic acid coordination polymers were synthesized using those ligands which we have synthesized by hydrothermal/solvothermal synthesis technology, and characterized their structure by X-ray.Concrete contents of this paper were carried out as follows:1.Four imidazole derivatives:2-(4,5-diphenyl-1H-imidazol-2-yl) benzoic acid, 4-(4,5-diphenyl-1H-imidazol-2-yl) benzoic acid,2-(4,5-dimethyl-1H-imidazol-2-yl) phenol, and 4-(4,5-dimethyl-1H-imidazol-2-yl) phenol were synthesized and characterized by IR,elemental analysis and 1HNMR.More over,an organic crystal of 2-(4,5-dimethyl-1H-imidazol-2-yl)phenol was got by recrystalized from hot EtOH/H2O,and characterized by X-ray.2.Five imidazole carboxylic acid coordination polymers were successfully synthesized by hydrothermal/solvothermal synthesis technology, and each of them was characterized by X-ray.
