The mold is the important process equipment in all kinds of modern industry production. Along with the social economy development, the industry products renewal is more rapid. Therefore, great interest has been directed towards using the advanced technologies and equipments positively, and raising the level of the mold manufacture. At present, the Chinese mold manufacturing technology of melt mold casting still had the obvious disparity with the international standard. Especially, the mold manufacturing industry faces with the stern trial with the increase of the price of original auxiliary material and the energy sources. Consequently, it is very important that improve the design level, reform exploitation idea, exploit the advantage and potential, reduce manufacturing cost, and enhance the competition ability in the international market.It is not only can increase the market competitive power of the precision casting corporation, but also can increase production quality and efficiency of the mold production corporation in the profiling. They are investigated that processing characteristics of the carves-milling machine, choice of the design software and the mold materials, technological parameter, manufacture fabricate and so on in this dissertation.Used the design method of combining with Pro/E and Type3, has solved the problem that can transform the data between two kinds of software, and the NC code incompatible problem. Used 2A12 as the profiling the manufacture material, and can increase the processing efficiency, save the processing cost and reduce the production cycle of the wax pattern. They are investigated that the principal axis rotate speed, fraction of coverage and cutting speed of the carves-milling machine, obtained the influence rule of the different cutting specifications on the surface roughness and the processing efficiency, the better processing parameter that the coverage fraction is 45%, the progress speed is 35% and the rev of principal axis is 300 r/s were obtained, provided the science basis for the application of new processing that carves-milling machine manufacture profiling. Quoted the lamination principle in the fast formation technology, solved this problem that the carves-milling machine processes insufficient depth, remedied the processing shortcomings of carves-milling machine, and enlarged the application scope of the carves-milling machine in profiling manufacture. Finally, it is proved fully that this new processing using carves-milling machine to manufacture profiling is feasibility, through the research of the hermetic impeller profiling example processing.
