| Reclaimed water irrigation can relieve water resources shortage, achieve sustainable water resources utilization, maintain ecological balance and gain considerable economy benefits, which have a long range social benefits. This research was based on the investigation of reclaimed water current utilization situation in Shenzhen, ten common garden plants(such as Zoysia pacifica, Axonopus affonis, Cynodon dactylon, ficus tikoua, Trilobana Wedelia, Bougainvillea spectabilis wind, Duranta repens cv.Dwarf Yellow, Murraya exofica Linn, Ficus microcarpa cv.Golden Leaves and Litchi chinensis Sonn) were chosen as experimental materials . A pot experiment of short term and field trials of long term were conducted to study on physiological index. The field with tap water irrigation was the control group. Mineral element content and physiological index were analysed by plants leaves. The results indicated as follows:The effects of the short-term reclaimed water irrigation on mineral elements content: it was significant in the content of Phosphorus element between reclaimed water and tap water in leaves of Axonopus affonis, Bougainvillea spectabilis wind and Duranta repens cv.Dwarf Yellow; Compared with tap water, Chlorine element content in leaves of four plants was far higher; it was significant that the content of heavy meta(lCopper, Cadmium and Plumbum)in leaves of Cynodon dactylon,Murraya exofica Linn and Bougainvillea spectabilis wind between reclaimed water and tap water. Others were not significant in the content of mineral element between reclaimed water and tap water. The effects of the short-term reclaimed water irrigation on physiological index : Phy- siological indexes were no significant difference between reclaimed water irrigation and tap water irrigation, except activity of SOD in leaf of ficus tikoua and Litchi chinensis So- nn., and Free proline content in leaf of Cynodon dactylon and Axonopus affonis. The effects of variation of mineral element content and physiological response in different grassland plants on the long-term reclaimed water irrigation: mineral element content and physiological indexes were no significant difference between reclaimed water irrigation and tap water irrigation; This result is consistent with the result mineral elements content of the field investigation. In sum: Reclaimed water irrigation could increase mineral element content in leaves of plants in potted experiment, but did not produce poisonous effect on the ten garden plants. Ecological environment was open system which could eliminate and alleviate this effect. Physiological index of some plants with reclaimed water irrigation was significant, but it wasn't significant to the most experimental materials. The reclamed water irigation is feasible to landscaping, but the water quality of reclaimed water must reach the standard, and the reclaimed water must be used reasonably according to irrigation climate, soil characteristics and plants species, To dispel the harmful effects... |
