Rubber and plastic machine is the integration of mechanical system, fluid drive system and electrical control system. With the fast development of information technology, it was necessary to apply embedded and network technology to rubber and plastic machine. The embedded technology can take more humanized human and machine interface, more stable the system and more luxuriant function. The network technology can take the integrated control into rubber and plastic machine. Workers can get away from the bad live operation environment. Control system with network can be more automatic and more efficient.The network human-machine interaction system is the combine of embedded and network technology.Hardware system was constructed by S3C2410 chip, high-volume SDRAM, NAND Flash, LCD and touch screen interface. It also provided RS485 bus, CAN bus and industry Ethernet support.Software system was based on embedded Linux OS and QT multi-platform toolkit. The human-machine interface software was based on the character of rubber and plastic machine, was designed from three aspects: the interaction with live operation user, the interaction with bottom controller and the interaction with remote user. Qt based graphics user interface provided excellent HMI platform, simple and humanized operation in parameter setting and running state monitoring. Apply of multi-thread and network technology ensured reliable data communication and data synchronization among different threads.At last, reliability of communication is confirmed by RS485 bus bit error rate test and simple network test. Application status in rubber injection molding machine and vacuum vulcanizing press machine (double-set) was also introduced.
