The paper discussed the development and current situation of titanium dioxide photocatalytic hydrophilic material based on a large number of data from domestic and abroad. The theory of titanium dioxide thin-film hydrophilicity and the preparation process were studied. TiO2 thin films, TiO2-SiO2 thin film and TiO2-SiO2-WO3 films were successfully synthesized, the results show that the hydrophilicity of TiO2 thin films is improved by adding SiO2, WO3, TiO2-SiO2-WO3 composite film gets the best result. The TiO2 thin film with anti-fog and self-cleaning function were successfully prepared by Sol-gel method, the optimum preparation conditions of TiO2 thin films were determined. The paper studied the influence of calcination temperature, the coating layer, and the temperature speed on the TiO2-SiO2 composite film hydrophilic activity. The results show that when the calcination temperature is 500℃, three-layer, the speed of temperature is 5℃/min, and the SiO2 and TiO2 molar ratio is 1:4, the TiO2 thin films have a high hydrophilic activity. The hydrophobic properties of TiO2-SiO2-WO3 ternary composite films were studied by the orthogonal experiment. The results show that: the super-hydrophilic TiO2 composite film has good anti-fog effect by adding 10 ml SiO2 and 0.8 ml WO3, the calcination temperature is 500℃and the rate of temperature increase is 5℃/min,.The maintenance of the TiO2-SiO2-WO3 ternary composite films was studied in the dark, the results show that: the film can maintain the super-hydrophilic propertie for 5 days. The influences of the initial concentration of methyl orange, the mix , the UV irradiation time on the photocatalytic activity of titanium dioxide were studied. The result shows that the TiO2 thin film has a better photocatalytic activity by degradation of methyl.
