Top drive drilling system(short for top drive) is the oil drilling equipment with advanced technique,complex structure and the integration of electro-hydraulic. It's one of a achievements of the automation development in drilling equipments.One of the highlights of the system significantly improves the ability of drilling operations and efficiency compared with the traditional drilling system.In the world only the United States.Russia.Norway,Canada and a few countries master this.In recent years,our nation got to speed up to develop this system,from introduction to assimilation,based on this,eventually produced the routine top drive.The low temperature top drive was based on the routine top drive,developed to content the polar(-45℃) use condition,which speeds up the domestic process of the drilling equipments,at the same time creates the great degree of social and economic benefits.In this thesis,low temperature top drive transmission system design, development and production was the line of the entire process of research and development of the drive system.This thesis focuses on the following four areas:(1) The selection of enclosed gear transmission material.The selection of enclosed gear transmission material should consider the low temperature condition, the driving capacity of gear products,the accuracy,reliability and efficiency factors. Through the regular and low temperature analysis of the mechanical properties test, selected the material of the enclosed transmission parts,and their heat treatment process were described. (2)Gear parameters Optimization made the design more efficiently.The choice of the gear parameters,in condition of the center distance was given,used the program based on the complex method to optimize gear parameters quickly and made the design more efficiently,the final parameters checked by the required strength,in order to meet the application requirements.(3) The rotating head material chosen and the toughness-brittleness transition temperature prediction.Considering the low temperature,the material chosen of rotating head,through casting test selection and-comparative analysis of mechanical properties,heat treatment process design and improvement,predicted the toughness-brittleness transition temperature result by regression analysis use Boltzmann equation,structural strength of the finite element analysis,to meet the use condition.(4) The material chosen of exposed parts and the finite element strength analysis. Other exposed parts,box,ring pin,internal sleeve,through a regular,low temperature mechanical properties test,heat treatment process and the development of finite element strength analysis,validated the use of components to meet the requirements of the use condition.Based on this research work,it provided a reliable scientific basis for the production of qualified low temperature top drive transmission system,it exported to Russia on March 2008,which made the study both in theory and practice of great significance.
