High speed and super high speed process skills are the efficient way to improve the process precision and process efficiency, also to reduce the cost of process. But it has high requiring to the arts and crafts system stiffness, it requires high stiffness to the principal spindle system and cutter system. This paper is for boring bar of slightness boring hole tools, and discussing to improve the stiffness of rotating boring bar through changing the configuration and material. In deep hole process,the state of rotating boring bar is slightness and over-hanging, vibration is easy to occur, if the boring bar's stiffness insufficiency, this will severity effect the process precision and process efficiency. Cutter system is also the wake part of CNC Machining Center and precision machine, and severity effects the exertion of machines. Solving the stiffness of process system is the important way to best using the machine and creating benefit. So it's necessary to studying damping boring bar for solving the problem of process system stiffness.In this paper,first designing the configuration of rotating boring bar, then studying the dynamic and static properties of rotating boring bar in theory and emulation. The finite element method (ANSYS software) and Simulink tool box in Matlab software were used in emulation part. Detailed content as follows:(1)The configuration designing of rotating boring bar, the certain of scheme, material choosing, introducing arts and crafts production.(2)Setting up the static and dynamic model of rotating boring bar, analyzing its properties, including static stiffness, natural fundamental frequency, dynamic response and critical speed and so on.(3)Use ANSYS and Matlab software to imitate the dynamic properties of three rotating boring bar, through comparing to validate the composite damping boring bar's advantage in high speed and super high speed process. More use ANSYS software to analysis the static and dynamic effect to composite damping boring bar, when the outside metal sleeve using different materials, damping core and outside metal sleeve's size varing.
