With the social progress, the levels of industrialization are rising. Human standards of living and quality of life have also been increasing. But at the same time, the negative impact of the status brought about by industrialization and urbanization is making the ecological environment deteriorating. Ecological problems have become the focus of world. Academic discussion of ecological issues is heating up.Plekhanov was an outstanding Russian philosopher and theorist of Marxism. His innovative "geographical theory" is a significant contribution to ecological thought on Marxism. Therefore, the study of his inheritance and development for ecological thought on Marxism has important value and significance.It is the thought of alienation between man and nature, the dialectical relationship between man and nature, and Marx's thought of ecological productivity that provide the important theoretical basis for us to study the ecological thought of Plekhanov.
