This paper aimed at the control of NOx emission and the Urea-SNCR technology had been applied in the 410t/h coal-fired thermal plant.NOx emission can be reduced under 200mg/m3 with lower than lOppm of ammonia slip at various boiler loads by adjusting the injection layer, spray flow and urea amount. The retrofit of hybrid SNCR-SCR system was completed base on the SNCR system and succeeded in controlling the NOx emission under 50mg/m3 with lower than 3ppm of ammonia slip.The complement of ammonia spray and disturbed gas flow were installed due to the lack of ammonia for the SCR reaction and poor mixing between the flue and ammonia. The effect of hybrid SNCR-SCR system on the thermal plant had been researched.The operation cost model was built, from which it was gained that the cost was about 0.008RMB/kw.h. The analysis was done on the main factors of SNCR-SCR operation cost.
