The harming factors is analyzed in the thesis for the safety operation of hydrogenation catalyst of pyrolysis gasoline equipment. The performance of the catalyst is determined for the safety operation of the hydrogenation equipment. In one hand, the prevention measures have been established based on the failure analysis of the catalyst to achieve the controllable management and optimizing operation of the hydrogenation process. In the other hands, a new kind of hydrogenation catalyst has been developed for first-stage and second-stage of pyrolysis gasoline hydrogenation according to meet the safety requirement. The catalyst has been applied successfully in domestic plants. A procedure of safety-malfunction-tree is also used in analysis of possible risks when catalyst running and a simple method of strategy is established to keep the controllable safety.
