Super absorbent resin can swell up to hundreds or thousands of times their own weight in aqueous media. Swelling gel has excellent water retention and thermal stability. They are used in such varied fields as industry, agriculture, food, medical sanitation, life products and environmental protection. Swelling capacity, salt resistance and mechanical stress are more important consideration for the evaluation of superabsorbent. So many endeavors have made to improve these abilities of superabsorbent resin.At present, the water absorbency of these super absorbent resins in deionized water is high. However, it is low in the salt solution, therefore, it is very important to increase water absorbency of superabsorbent resin in an un-pure water for their practical use.And now researching high salt resistant superabsorbent resin is become the important direction for scientific workers .In addition, Under the prerequisite of maintaining a certain salt resistance, It is significant for reducing the productive cost and improving the comprehensive property of the super absorbent resin is the center of studing superabsorbent resin and it's practical applicationVarious researches showe that, by using mineral clayes can effectively improve the salt resistancy of the superabsorbent resin, and reduce the cost ; Previous studies also have showed that a incorporation with long-chain macromolecular compound with hydrophobic gropes can improve the salt resistancy of the superabsorbent resin In thi paper 4 kindes of salt resistant super absorbent resin was prepared with acrylic acid as monomer, starch, humic acid, diatomite and polyvinyl alcohol as the reaction materiales, undre UV irradiation from high-pressured ultraviolet mercury lamp, their comprehensive properties were studied. The main contents of this thesis were as follows: 1,four different kind of super absorbent resin was synthesized with acrylic acid, humic acid, starch, diatomite and polyvinyl alcohol by using UV polymerization method; The structure of absorbent resin were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and other techniques. The properties of the superabsorbents such as swelling rate, swelling dynamics, salty resistance, heat resistancea and temperature resistance were studied. Some other properties of the resin were also investigated.2,On the basis of the small-scale pilot, a scale-up test was carried out for superabsorbent resin by using self-made Automatic transmitted Ultraviolet photopolymerization device (Patent number : ZL200820228818.9), and use it in the soil that planted Corn and Safflower indoor and outdoor. The humidity of the soil after germination was measured every day, and grows of the Seedling was observed. Compared the soil humidity and seedling grows of the land which use of super absorbent resin with non use of super absorbent resin ,and analysis the impact of different condition to the water absorbent capacity and the impact of amount of resin to grows of seedling according to the measurement results.The results shows that the soil humidity,that used super absorbent resin,keep high level what ever indoor or outdoor,and the grows of seedling is good with appropriate amount of super absorbent resin.
