By using the newest production made by Shenma Company which is named para-position Aramid fibers (that is 1414) and kevlar from US DuPont Company as materials, this paper studied the performances of homemade para-position Aramid fibers systematically.By comparing with American Dupont kevlar,this paper analyzed the discrepancies of 1414,and had tested parts of the performances of aramid fabric. The main research contents are as follows:(1)Applying the scanning electronic microscope to observe the microscopic structure of para-position Aramid fibers and making a comparison with the American Dupont kevlar to know of two kinds of aramid comprehensively, this paper took a preliminary analysis of the two kinds of the weavabilities to predict the performances of the products. The infrared spectrum analyzer was used to make quantitative analysis of fibers to infer which kinds of genes were existed in the specimen,and to determine the molecular structure. Otherwise, measurement and comparison of their degree of polymerization were made in the paper.(2)This paper studied and analyzed the Aramid fiber on the linear density,strength and elongation,the friction performance,thermal performance and mechanical properties.Among them, the mechanical properties and the thermal performance were mainly studied.The mechanical properties studied mainly contained 1%,2%,3%,4%,5% rupture elongation for the single textile fibers and 5,10,15,20,25 rupture elongations for fibrous bundle.Meanwhile the cluster number of the homemade para-position Aramid on the same load as kevlar was calculated.And for the thermal performances, 11 points of temperature from 50°℃~ 295℃were taken for continuous heating,and each temperature spot lasted for 10 mins to test and analyze the strength and elongation in different temperature of textile fiber; then to analyze the DSC,TG and DTG respectively of the two kinds of fibers,and find their thermolysis temperatures. Minewhile the software MATLAB was used to deal with the correlation datas.,and some certain analysis was made to the data and the phenomenon.(3)Selecting plain structure to weave.(4)Testing parts of the performance indexes of aramid fabric,including the permeability of electrical properties,ventilation property,combustion performance.(5)Choosing appropriate water-and-finishing agent for domestic contrapuntal aramid for water-repellent finishing,and testing the effect after finishing.The results of the research will have some references to the subsequent research of aramid fabrics .
