400 ferritic stainless steel is a kind of non-Ni and low-Ni stainless steel, compactibility, corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance are very good. Which is known as an economic stainless steel, it is also set store by each country. Based on that 430,410S and 409L, which are representative type of 400 ferritic stainless steel, combine with their microstructure, mechnical and melted properties are selectively studied, and comparing with 304. That is favorable to raise product quality and reform processing parameter, and offer theory rest. It also offers experimental data for exploiting ferritic stainless steel, and guide production.First, tensile behavior and fracture characteristic of 430,410S and 409L ferrite hot rolled stainless steel plates at room temperature were studied.,compared with 304.The fracture origin of 304 and 409L stainless steels were studied,then analysied the reason mechanical properties vary widely in microstruture.430 and 410S stainless steel are high strength, but low plastic; plasticity of 409L is better than 430 and 410S.The uneven organization and part irregular grains of 410S increased its strength.The grain size of 430,410S and 409L were 8.5,7.5 and 5.5,so another reason was grain refinement.The microstruture of 409L was even equiaxed ferrite grains,so it had better plasticity than 430 and 410S.They all were ductice fractures at room temperature.The fracture origin of 304 is calcium silicate;The particle in the bottom of laege dimples which formed in the beginning of range of rheological.The particle in the bottom of small dimples which formed in the late was carbide.Second 410S,430 and 409L cold-rolled sheet metal forming properties were studied,compared with 304 stainless steel.Reaming test and punch test were tested at BHB-80 sheet metal testing machine,compared its reming and punch performances No. reamingλvalue and punch IE value,and analysied the reason in microstructure and mechanical properties.The reaming value of 409L is the best because of its even equiaxed grains,430 second,410S minimum.410S has 100% cracking occurs because of its low uniform elongation and uneven microstucture,reaming value of 409L was extremely low.The punch value of 409L was the highest,410S second,430 minimum.the IE of 410S was better than 430 because of its high intensity.Basic mechanical elements, the thickness effect, the basic mechanical properties and formability of the association, material science factors, deformation rate of the impact of ferritic stainless steel forming factors had been studied by forming test and tensile test simulation research of the cold-rolled plate.By mechanical analysis showed that the reaming test in the sample and punch test and are subject to receive suddenly two approach the stress the role, in the reaming experiment the tangential tensile stress play the leading role,and in the punch test the diameter tensile stress play the leading role. The thickness of ferritic stainless steel plate increased, the shaping property enhanced,and thickness on the performance of poor 410S forming a greater impact on the good formability of 304 was less affected. The yield strength ratio of the smaller plate, the wider the forming integrated formability better; uniform elongation larger sheet of plastic the better, the better integrated formability; n value larger parts could expanded rapid hardening position, deformation transfer, to promote uniform deformation of each part, the better integrated forming properties.409L uniform equiaxed ferrite grains, there was no band better organization made its forming properties, but larger grains reduced the performance of its shape; 430 fine grains had good formability, But more grain boundary carbide precipitation decreased formability; 410S matrix, inclusion and regional distribution of grain boundary carbide particles and uneven organization of its tensile deformation in the dislocation movement more difficult to raise metal strength, which will help inflation type, but reduced its uniform elongation, and his reaming poor performance. Reduced the high rate of deformation of the tensile properties and formability, and the poor performance of the 410S forming most affected, about 9%, the forming performance affected less about 2% in 304.
