Steel pipe expanding is the last process of UOE technology and also the key te-chnology of getting final size and accuracy in the producing of LSAW(Longiudinal submerged are welded pipe), it is the use of expansion of expander tool module in the steel pipe to improve size accuracy and eliminate the pressure pipe forming and weld-ing stress of steel pipe.To meet the on-site processing environment, expander tool mo-dule required to meet performance, accuracy and other conditions, its surface quality as high as possible.This thesis combined with Shanghai Baosteel 5# expander tool re-search project, using cold die steel Cr12MoV as materials for expander tool module, and selecting the technology parameters of expander tool module in the grinding and cutting process, and analysising the grinding heat and grinding strength to influence expander tool surface quality in the accuracy grinding process under the help of ANSYS, provideing a theoretical basis for the processing of expander tool, for grind-ing and cutting materials Cr12MoV in the module technology for the optimization of process parameters very important significance.This thesis theoretical analysis the grinding and cutting parameters of influence for working surface quality in the processing of on-site grinding and cutting Cr12MoV material expander tool module. Using ANSYS software to simulate for the impact of the expander tool module grinding and cutting heat and grinding and cutting strength for the grinded and cutted surface quality. Including:1. Have made the analysis of Cr12MoV grinding mechanism for expander tool module, and selected the grinding parameters on this basis, including the selections of wheel type, workpiece speed, grinding depth and Coolant.2. Have solved the transient temperature field through the method of heat source, and obtain the transient temperature distribution of the expander tool module, and obtain the affect of grinding heat for surface quality of the expander tool module.3. Through the calculation of grinding strength, based the analysis of ANSYS, have made the analysis of transient dynamics for the process of grinding expander tool module, and Make a comparison for different parameters.Have proposed improvement program for grinding of the expander tool module on the bases, in order to improve the surface quality of grinding Cr12MoV.
