The issue of"global climate change"has been emerged as a new international environmental problem, as a consequence of human development and rapid industrialization all around the world.China is a huge country in terms of size of its population and rapid industrialization,It plays an important role in the global climate change. The aim of this dissertation is to analyze the role of China, as an active participant in international community against the problem"global climate change".This dissertation uses"regime theory and neoliberaistic approach"for explaining the"global climate change as a case study of cooperation between China and United Nations Environmental Program". China signed the UNFCCC at the Earth Summit on 11 June 1992 and ratified it on 5 January 1993 as the fifth country in the world .China has signed the Kyoto Protocol on 29 May 1998. One of the most important developments of China's diplomacy on global climate change is its positive acceptance of"flexible mechanism"of the Kyoto Protocol. China is one of the main actors in environmental system by creating its internal climate change policy such as domestic institutional development, improving energy efficiency and utilization of renewable energy.Through investigation has been clarified, that"climate change"issue is really new emerged global challenge, which future solution of this issue is only in the hands of major contributors, without the participation of those significant emitters of GHG, there can not be any success.
