Chlorine dioxide is a growing concern and favour green antiseptic disinfectan, and it has a broad-spectrum, high efficient and security killing characteristics and advantages for a variety of bacteria and viruses. It has been recognized as the fourth generation of A1-type disinfectant by World Health Organization (WHO). Chlorine dioxide is applied to pulp bleaching, drinking water purification and industrial wastewater treatment and other fields. In our country, the chemical preparation of chlorine dioxide more than the electrolytic one. Therefore, the research of electrolytic preparation of extremely pure chlorine dioxide which has the characteristics of advanced production technology of chlorine dioxide is very urgent and meaningful work.Through the experiment of electrolysis of a solution of chlorate and auto-catalytic cycling preparation of extremely purity chlorine dioxide, the influences of the concentration of chlorate, the acidity of sulfuric acid,the temperature of electrolyte,the current density and the concentration of chlorine dioxide in the electrolyte on the purity of chlorine dioxide product was discussed. The results of experiment showed that the purity of chlorine dioxide were above 90%. When the concentration of chlorate is about 1.0 mol/L, the acidity of sulfuric acid is about 4.90 mol/L,the temperature of electrolyte is about 28℃, the current density is about 975 A/m2, the purity of chlorine dioxide can reach about 98%. Meanwhile, recycle reclaiming of waste acid and sterilization and disinfection by chlorine dioxide is researched, the results achieve good effectsOn the basis of successful experimental preparation of extremely purity chlorine dioxide, the various parameters of the system are further optimized calculated, the concentration and circulation rate of the anode sulfuric acid solution, the cathode supply of sodium chlorate solution were optimal controlled, but also the cooling water temperature and flow rate was optimal controlled. In order to make the process more intelligent, to make parameters more accurate, automation of parts of the various parameters was precise control.According to the experimental and calculated various parameters, the process of electrolysis of a solution of chlorate and preparation of extremely purity chlorine dioxide was designed, and then a complete set of equipment of the preparation of chlorine dioxide designed.
