| Multiwalled carbon nanotubes(MWNTs) exhibit unique mechanieal, electronic and magnetic properties, which allow them to be used as possible reinforcing materials for compsites.1, A latex compounding process has been employed to prepare nanocomposites based on natural rubber (NR) and MWNT with different types of MWNT. Mechanical properties, electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity of NR/MWNT nanocomposites are improved, by mechanical, electrical and thermal conductivity tests. Comparing to MWNT/NR nanocomposites filled with pure MWNT, MWNT/NR nanocomposites filled with Carboxylated multi-walled carbon nanotubes has more excellent performance in all aspects.2, Different types of processes has been employed to prepare NR/MWNT mixing rubber with different amount of MWNT. With the increasing mount of MWNT, the mixing rubbers'conductivity is improved. What's more, if NR/MWNT suspension prepared by coating process can not be assured during drying, its conductivity will be worse, compared to latex compounding NR/MWNT's.3, MWNT were modified by multifunetional silane, Si69, KH550, and Si69&KH550. The characteristic of fore-and-aft chemically modified MWNT-COOH were analyzed by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy, X-ray Diffraction. Mechanical properties of NR/MWNT nanocomposites, which prepared by spay drying and modified by different types of coupling agent, is improving. Electrical conductivity is increasing a little. And thermal conductivity is almost unchanging.4, A spray drying approach has been adopted to prepare NR/MWNT nanocomposites, modified by KH550. With the increasing volume fraction of carbon nanotubes, mechanical properties, electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity of NR/MWNT nanocomposites are improved. |
