The high sulfur ore, sulfur in pyrrhotite and pyrite form, with the easily oxidized and buoyant nature of changing the characteristics of the copper minerals and pyrite separation is still a problem in the field of mineral processing. This paper bases on project " a pilot study of improving comprehensively technologly of ore mineral processing ",and research of copper-sulfur separation of such copper-sulfur ore. Provided for the actual ore offered by project,by single mineral tests and thermodynamic analysis of the surface oxidation and crystal structure of testing, research of feasibility and conditions of chalcopyrite and pyrite, pyrrhotite separation. Combining with copper sulfide ore mineral separation conditions, the determination of reasonable process and system, using laboratory on this ore, the small test results:In a suitable pH value and the pulp potential conditions, induced by collectors, it is possible to achieve chalcopyrite and pyrite to separated from collector,selectivity of DY-1 is better than butyl xanthate; However, of chalcopyrite and magnetic pyrite is difficult, because the crystal structure of magnetic pyrite sample is monoclinic, with S/Fe ratio increasing,the hydrophobic relative of mineral surface oxidation product will increase.The actual process of ore mineralogy show that the sulfide minerals is mainly pyrite, Incrustation of chalcopyrite is very complicated, chalcopyrite and pyrite with symbiotic relationship closely,inbuilt fine grain size, when grinding fineness-0.074mm is 93%,the dissociation degree is 86%.,And chalcopyrite in copper minerals accounted for about 74% of total copper. Copper minerals and pyrite dissociation and separation is the key to solving the problem.Using a single product programs, stage grinding and copper flotation process, DY-1,a better selectivity for copper and a less collector for sulfur and butyl xanthate mixed-use, better solved difficult problem which iron and copper mineral closely embedded in the fabric, the monomer solution of copper from sulfur separation.When 0.90% copper in ore, copper oxidation rate of 14.44%,23.12% in the case of iron, copper gained 20.54% of copper concentrate, copper recovery of 72.96% of the mineral processing technology indicators for the development of the copper to provide a technical basis.
